Upload help
Trouble uploading your cards?
Uploads happen in your web browser, so your device, internet connection and browser settings all affect them. The steps below can help you recover your work and get your cards uploaded.
Returning after an interrupted upload?
Open your draft in the same browser and profile. Each imported card is saved automatically on this device before it is counted as complete. You do not need to click Save Draft first. Your completed cards can be recovered if your browser has kept its site data.
When you return to the editor, saved cards reopen and signed-in profile uploads resume automatically. Confirmed uploads are reused. If saving is paused, choose Retry Save Draft. For files that were not yet stored, select the original batch again, keeping its filenames unchanged. Cards already in this draft are skipped and only the missing cards are added. For example, if 50 of 110 cards were saved, selecting the same 110 again adds the remaining 60. You can also reselect the same ZIP or XML. Wait for any recovered cards to finish processing first.
Do not clear browser or site data while recovering your deck.
Return to your draftTry these first
- After confirming your draft is saved to your profile or downloading a backup, clear the cache and site data using the recycle/refresh symbol at the top right of the site. This signs you out and removes local drafts and pending uploads, so do not use it while recovering work that has not synced.
- Refresh the page and try again. If a draft is recovered, resume it instead of starting over.
- Close other browser tabs and apps.
- For large decks, we recommend the latest Chrome on a desktop or laptop with at least 16 GB of RAM.
- Try downloading the app version of the site using Install App on the landing page, available for mobile and desktop. Confirm your draft has synced before changing browsers or switching to the app.
- Upload large decks in smaller batches, such as 20–30 cards at a time.
Your device is running low on memory
What you might see: “Out of memory,” a crashed page (“Aw, Snap!”), or a browser that freezes, especially with large decks.
What to do: Close other tabs and apps, restart your browser, and upload in smaller batches. Resize very large images to an appropriate print size, keeping a copy of your originals. This can greatly reduce memory use.
Your internet connection dropped or is slow
What you might see: “Timed out,” “Network error,” or an upload that stops moving.
What to do: Move closer to your Wi-Fi router or use a wired connection. Avoid switching networks mid-upload. School and work networks sometimes block uploads, so try a home network if you are using one of those networks.
The page was closed or your device went to sleep
What you might see: Your upload stopped after you switched apps, locked your phone or closed your laptop.
What to do: Try installing the app version from the landing page, available for mobile and desktop. Keep the browser or installed app open in the foreground and your screen on until the upload finishes; installing the app does not keep uploads running while your device sleeps or the app is closed. Return to your draft in the same browser and profile to continue a pending save. Before switching to the app, confirm your draft has synced to your profile.
A browser extension is blocking the upload
What you might see: Uploads fail right away, or buttons do not respond.
What to do: Pause ad blockers and privacy extensions for our site, or test a small sample in a private or incognito window. Your existing local draft is in the original browser profile; a private window cannot access its pending files. Return to the original profile to resume that draft.
You are using an in-app or outdated browser
What you might see: Uploads fail after you opened our site from a link in Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Discord.
What to do: Open our site directly in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, and make sure your browser is up to date. Work saved only inside an in-app browser may not be available in another browser.
One of your files cannot be read
What you might see: One specific card will not upload while the others do.
What to do: Save the image as PNG or JPEG. iPhone photos are often in HEIC format, which needs converting first. If the file is stored in iCloud, Google Drive or OneDrive, download it to your device before uploading.
